I couldn’t post the photos of my most recent fashion shoot until today as they had to be used for commercial purposes during the Tall Ships event which took place this weekend in Waterford. It was a rare opportunity to shoot on a naval vessel in the Naval base in Cork. LE Ciara, the fastest ship in the Irish fleet was the perfect location for this shoot. The weather was very changeable and therefore challenging for proper light.

I shot in manual mode with my Canon 5D Mark II and to make sure I would get the best results in terms of exposure I relied on the great Elinchrom Ranger Quadra portable system and the Sekonic L-358 light meter. The clouds were quickly appearing and disappearing leaving the model’s face exposed to direct sunlight, so some light diffusers were used when necessary. The images were displayed in poster size on the front of Urban Hype hair style salons in Waterford! Clothes are from Waterford boutique Janelle.  More photos from the shoot here

So here we go! this is my first post, in my first official blog!

I always liked sharing news with fans of my work and for this I do have indeed already a facebook page where I post mainly quick and short updates. So what are you going to find here?

I will share news, knowledge, tips, and some fun with everyone! Of course it is a blog oriented to people that are interested in my work and the magic of photography, but be sure, it is not going to be only a techie blog, much more!

I will not force myself to post every day just for the sake to post something. I will try instead to post interesting information that I think can be really of interest of who wants to learn more about photography, modeling, etc.
